How BookMandu works
BookMandu connects buyers and sellers so you can order books directly from the seller. After placing an order, you will receive a call from the seller's phone number and can contact them to agree on a safe meet-up location.
Please note that BookMandu is only a platform for matching buyers and sellers. The exchange is completed in person, and all privacy and safety risk is your responsibility. Meet in a public, well-lit place and verify the seller before handing over money or books.

Order & connect
1. Browse books and place your order on BookMandu.
2. The seller will use the phone number you provided to connect and confirm details.
3. Meet in a safe public place, exchange the book, and complete the transaction.
Remember: BookMandu does not take responsibility for in-person exchanges.
Buyer responsibilities
- Inspect the book before completing the exchange and confirm it matches the listing.
- Confirm the final agreed price before making payment.
- Once the book is accepted, BookMandu is not responsible for disputes regarding condition, quality, or pricing.
Seller responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the book's title, condition, edition, and price.
- Communicate honestly and attend agreed meeting locations on time.
- Misleading listings, fraudulent behavior, or repeated complaints may result in account suspension or permanent removal.
Platform fees
Sellers may use BookMandu free of charge until their total completed sales exceed NPR 1,000.
After exceeding NPR 1,000 in completed sales, a platform commission of 10% applies on future completed sales, subject to the platform's fee policy.
Platform circumvention
Buyers and sellers must not use BookMandu solely to discover each other and then intentionally bypass the platform's processes.
Misuse, fake orders, false information, or repeated policy violations may result in account suspension or termination.
Order completion
Sellers should mark orders as completed only after the book has been successfully handed over. Buyers should confirm receipt after receiving the book.
BookMandu reserves the right to review suspicious activity and take appropriate action against accounts violating platform policies.
